What are Cookies

Cookies are data created by a server that are stored in text files on the computer's hard disk or on any device used by the user to access the Internet (smartphones, tablets) and allow the collection of information about the user's navigation on the website.

• Technical Cookies
  • Session/navigation: The use of session c.d. cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site and its applications. The so-called session cookies used in the site avoid the use of other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the privacy of users' browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user.   • Third-party analytical cookies: analytical cookies made and installed by third parties to analyze users' browsing in order to make statistics on visits or to improve content offerings, show products that are similar to each other and possibly place targeted advertising on web pages. The system used is Google Analytics, the latter being a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics, like the other systems, uses "cookies to enable the website to analyze how users use the site." The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored on Google's servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of tracking and examining your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity, and providing other services relating to your use of the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.   • Third-party profiling cookies: used and installed by third parties to track the user's online browsing and create profiles on his tastes, habits, choices. These cookies are managed by third-party companies. Social buttons/widgets, i.e., those particular "buttons" depicting social network icons (e.g., Facebook), can also be found on www.scharper.it. These "buttons" allow users who are browsing the site, to reach and interact with a "click" directly with social networks. By clicking on the social buttons/widgets, the social network acquires data about the user's visit to the site www.scharper.it and simultaneously releases its own profiling cookies.

Managing Cookie Preferences

Consent to the use of cookies is given in one of the following ways:

• by clicking on the "ACCEPT" button in the banner, which allows you to manage your preferences and contains the short information notice, which appears the moment the user accesses the site;

How to change your Cookie settings

Most Internet browsers are initially set to accept cookies automatically. This means that the user has the option at any time to set his or her browser to accept all cookies, only some, or to reject them by disabling their use by sites. Obligation to provide data

The personal data processed through the installation of technical cookies and first-party analytical cookies are necessary to ensure proper navigation within the site.
It is optional to give consent to the installation of third-party analytical cookies and profiling cookies. Your personal data will be processed by such cookies only with your express consent in the manner indicated above.

Data recipients

Data may be processed by external parties operating as autonomous data controllers such as, but not limited to, authorities and supervisory and control bodies.
Data may also be processed, on behalf of the Company, by external parties designated as data processors, to whom appropriate operating instructions are given. These subjects are essentially included in the following categories:

Persons authorized to process data

The data may be processed by employees of the company functions assigned to the pursuit of the purposes indicated above, who have been expressly authorized to process the data and who have received appropriate operating instructions.

Transfer of Personal Data to countries outside the European Union.

Rights of the data subject - Complaint to the supervisory authority

By contacting, by e-mail at info@unika.it, data subjects may request from the controller access to the data concerning them, their deletion, the rectification of inaccurate data, the integration of incomplete data, the restriction of processing in the cases provided for by Article 18 GDPR, as well as the opposition to processing in cases of legitimate interest of the controller.

Data subjects also have the right, in cases where the processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means, to receive in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format the data, as well as, if technically feasible, to transmit them to another data controller without hindrance.

Data subjects have the right to revoke the consent given at any time for marketing and/or profiling purposes, as well as to object to the processing of data for marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing. This is without prejudice to the possibility for the data subject who prefers to be contacted for the aforementioned purpose exclusively through traditional means, to express his or her opposition only to receiving communications through automated means.

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in the Member State where they usually reside or work or the State where the alleged infringement occurred.
